Objectives and Purposes

The objective and purposes of this Association are:

To advance the development of effective healthcare maintenance procedures.

To stimulate the exchange of information and to further the professional, educational and personal development of its membership.

To provide opportunities for personal development and growth for its membership by providing educational programs and keeping its membership informed of other educational opportunities available throughout the state and nation.

To broaden and improve healthcare engineer's and maintenance personnel's knowledge and capabilities to carry out their responsibilities and duties.

This association was organized exclusively for charitable and educational purposes as a not-for-profit Association.

Membership Advantages

The benefits of membership in the Kansas Healthcare Engineers' Association far outweigh the cost of the annual fee!

Networking

KHEA Members are a network for sharing policies and procedures. This network of healthcare professionals is an excellent resource base for engineering information.

Reduced Fees for Members

Members attend workshops at a reduced fee. (This reduction in the fee of one workshop will generally pay for that individual's membership!) MECH Program materials are provided to members at a reduced fee.

Legislative Issues

As an organized association, the KHEA provides a channel for legislative input. Members are kept abreast of potential legislative issues pertaining to healthcare engineering.

Scholarships

The KHEA provides an opportunity for members of their immediate families to obtain one of four scholarships given each year.
